1. Elwyn Colby Ferris has been designing interiors for his clients
2. residences and offices for nearly a quarter-of-a-century. His passion for his work has led him into the world of Miniaturization. His award-winning work has been featured in numerous books and magazines, including House and Garden and House Beautiful.

About the designs:

The miniature furniture in this collection is designed to appeal to discriminating fashion doll collectors who wish to furnish their entire Fashion Doll House, or to simply compliment their doll collection with vignettes of quality pieces other than the usual Victorian or Country pieces that so permeate the fashion doll market.

New pieces will be introduced on a regular basis (about one per month). These new introductions will always be designed with prior releases in mind, so the collector can complete entire rooms of furnishings and accessories that compliment each other, rather than just random releases that are unrelated to earlier released pieces.

The designs are scaled to work with all FASHION DOLLS and are as exact to the original furnishings as this scale will allow. Each piece is a remarkably realistic 1/6 th scale replica of a High-End furniture design much like you would see in actual rooms featured in Architectural Digest or House Beautuful. They are designed to be collectibles, not toys.

Because these pieces are entirely made by hand, no two pieces may be exactly alike. We do strive to maintain the same quality and dimensions in each piece, particularly when sold in pairs, but can not guarantee exact sameness.

All pieces are signed and numbered by the artist in limited editions. Custom requirement (such as Customers own fabric) will be considered upon contacting us with specifications.

The Adams Oval Tea Table

A heavily painted, rusticated finish, typical of the French Country look, gives this English Tea Table an inspired custom designer look. The top has an incised Adams Oval pattern that is delicately shaded in tones of Ivory, as is the apron detail. This is an actual reproduction of a Custom table designed by Mr. Ferris for his "Romantic Bedroom" featured in "100 Designers Favorite Rooms". Signed and numbered 1-16.

The B aldwin Slipper Chair

This simple, yet extremely versitile chair has become a staple of contemporary interiors. It was named for Billy Baldwin, a doyenne of twentieth century interior design, who popularized its use in a great number of his projects. For this chair we have selected a botanical "chintz" print reminiscent of the now classic Clarence House print so popular during the 80's and 90's. THE BIEDEIMIER TABLE

This extremely limited edition table features a three-sided concave pedestal in a faux Yew wood finish with a deep faux Walnut base and faux Cherry "clawed feet". The apron is similarly detailed. Both base and apron feature a brass "studded" accent . The highly decorative decaled top features a mulitude of highly grained woods in a swirled parquet pattern with a harlequine style border. The entire table is finished with several coats of high-gloss urethane that resembles the highly-polished look of a fine antique. Signed and numbered 1-6.

The Sulgrave Canopy Bedd

This exquisitely crafted miniature canopy bed is the focal point of The Romantic Bedroom*. Corner panels, headboard and valance of White Belgian Linen are lined with a beautifully scaled soft pink floral typical of the "English Print" variety. The floral print is also used to create the stunning Sunburst effect on the interior "ceiling" of the canopy (as seen to the left of the bed in this picture). The White Belgain Linen coverlet is handpainted and hand-tufted (polydacron filled) in a trellis pattern which culminates in a pointed scallop edge. The decorative pillow shams (pillows included) are handpainted with a coordinating border design. The matching self-lined bed skirt has center kick-pleats on all three sides. A quilted, foam filled pad-mattress is included. The bed itself is a one-piece platform with bed skirt, plus a mattress, coverlet, two pillows and two pillow shams. The entire canopy consists of five pre-fabricated sections that easily lock together in seconds. Solid wood construction throughout. No gathering or arranging of fabric is required. the Sulgrave vanity & stool

The vanity table is of open wood construction, designed to make it appear that the table skirt is falling naturaly to the floor (no arrangieng of fabric is required) . It has a cord bow and streamers from the apron and features a center and corner kick pleats. A sheet of plexiglass protects the top. The fabric is the same Bleached Belgian Linen used on the Sulgrave canopy bed, the Sulgrave scroll-back chair and ottoman, and the Sulgrave loose-back chair . The Vanity Bench has gracefully scrolled ends that culminate in a bullnose along the top edge. The finish matches the Metalic Silver Aluminum finish on the Athena Chairs for the Sulgrave Bedroom. Signed and numbered sets 1-16.
